Wayne Staub - President
Wayne Staub joined the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as its first Director for Economic Growth and Sustainability in the recently established Office of Economic Growth and Green Energy. Staub brings more than 16 years of government experience from the Mercer County Office of Economic Development and Sustainability. as the County’s Business Representative, he helped create and administer the Mercer County Loan Fund lead the expansion of the Mercer County Foreign Trade Zone # 200, was an original committee member for the Annual Mercer County Economic Summit, and worked closely with the Small Business Development Center at the College of New Jersey.A Ewing Township resident, Staub is active in nonprofit organizations, currently serving a fifth year as President of the Ewing Public Education Foundation. In addition, he serves as a volunteer on the Trenton YMCA Golf Committee, Ewing Little League and Ewing Girls Softball, and is the Cub Master for Pack 15 Mercer County. Staub earned a BS in Marketing and Management from Seton Hall University and a MS in Management and Leadership from Thomas Edison State College. He resides with his wife Stephanie, son Wayne Jr. & daughter Natalie.
Steven K. Szmutko - Vice President
Steven K. Szmutko has been a Ewing resident since 1997. He is employed with Drexel University LeBow College of Business as Employer Relations Manager in the Office of MBA Career Services. Steve retired from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority in 2005 after 25 years of commercial lending, and economic and community development. He was responsible for project development, underwriting, and portfolio management at the Authority with experience in the funding and administration of not-for-profit, educational and religious organizations. Born in Trenton, he is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University (BA, Economics, 1976) and Rider University (MBA, 1983). Steve has had extensive experience in stewardship, finance and development activities for the Catholic Diocese of Trenton and his church. He is an ordained Permanent Deacon, serving in education, liturgical, and other ministries. Steve, his wife Mary, and their family, are members of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Trenton, where they are active in many ministries. He has two grown daughters, Emily and Eva and one son. His youngest child, Steven, is a graduate of Ewing High School and is now a student at Rider University.

Alex Falzone - Secretary
Alex Falzone, a resident of Ewing since 2003, has been employed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Princeton, NJ, since 1999. At ETS, Alex's primary responsibility is coordinating (which includes budgeting, planning, and cross-divisional collaboration) the Assessment Development work across the entire Praxis (Teacher Licensure) program. Past responsibilities at ETS included developing Teacher Licensure tests in English Language Arts and Reading, facilitating committee meetings involving teachers and teacher educators, and leading essay scoring sessions(including training teachers to score the essays). Alex graduated from The College of New Jersey (although he entered in the last class accepted under the name Trenton State College) with a degree in English and SecondaryEducation. In addition to his involvement with EPEF, Alex has volunteered with the Ewing Girls Softball Association for 4 years. Alex has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 10 years (and counting), and they have 3 children (Isabella, Stephanie, and Michael), all of whom attend (or will be attending) Lore Elementary School.
Wendy T. Dunham - Trustee
Wendy Dunham has resided in Ewing Township for the past 25 years. She has put both of her children through the Ewing School System, and has been active as a parent volunteer in numerous capacities both in the schools and in her community-based church. Mrs. Dunham is an experienced Speech Therapist providing speech therapy for young children in Bucks County, PA.
Scott D. Franks Sr. - Trustee
Scott D. Franks Sr. was born and raised in Ewing Township. He is proud to be a graduate of Ewing High School & the Mercer County Vocational/ Technical School, Assunpink Center class of 1990. Scott attended Ewing Township public schools from Elementary through High School. Married to Dawn his high school sweetheart, they have two young boys, Scott Jr. and Michael. Scott Jr. attends Fisher Middle School and Michael attends Antheil Elementary School. He has been employed by the New Jersey Department of Corrections for over 19 years as an Assistant Fleet Manager. Scott is a member of the New Jersey State Police, Racing Control Unit, Civilian Advisory Board and is a SFI Certified Technical Inspector for the National Hot Rod Association, as well as being a member of the State of New Jersey, Accident Review Board. Scott is involved with coaching Ewing Boys Soccer (WESA), assisting with the Ewing Little Devils Wrestling program and any thing else his boys are interested in. He is a very big supporter of the Odyssey of the Mind program.
Laura Canavera - Trustee
Laura and her husband Michael have resided in Ewing since 2002. Their son, Nicholas, attends Parkway Elementary school. Mrs. Canavera graduated from Rutgers University, Douglass College and has worked for the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development since 1994. Laura and her family are active members at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church and in the PTA at Parkway School.
Karl Clark - Trustee
Born in Trenton NJ, Karl Clark graduated from the Trenton school system in 1981. He and his wife, Masaé, became Ewing residence in 2001 after serving 20 years in the United States Navy. He served in Yokosuka Japan; Pearl Harbor, HI; San Diego, CA; Pensacola, FL, and visited countries to include Hong Kong, Australia, Dubai and others. Karl’s presently employed with Educational Testing Service (ETS) as a Test Security Analyst. His son is a recent graduate of Ewing High School and attends TCNJ. His daughter attends Fisher Middle School. Karl volunteered numerous years with the Ewing Township Talent Show. Karl is a member of American Legion Post 182, and provides mentor-ship to young naval sailors. Karl gives charitable support to fight against Alzheimer Association, Cancer, and Sickle Cell.

Heather Kearns-Latini - Executive Director
Heather Kearns-Latini has been a resident of Ewing Township since 1988. Ms. Kearns-Latini is the President & CEO of LegWork Incorporated, an event planning & public relations company. Prior to being her own boss, Heather worked as an executive assistant for Mercer County Executive, Robert D. Prunetti for over 11 years. In November 2002, Ms. Kearns-Latini received an award from the Mercer County Veterans Organization for her work during President Bush's visit to the County. The Commanders award is usually given to a veteran or a veteran group and Ms. Kearns-Latini was the first civilian to receive this accolade. Mrs. Kearns-Latini has a B.A. in Business Administration from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. Heather is married to Justin, a lifelong Ewing Township resident, and has two daughters, Bella & Vienna. Bella attends Lore Elementary school. In addition to serving on the foundation board, Heather is actively involved in charitable organizations, such as, the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, the Metropolitan Trenton African American Chamber of Commerce and the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. In January, 2011, Heather was appointed to the Ewing Township Redevelopment Agency.
Anthony D. Mack - Ewing School Board Member Liaison
Anthony D. Mack was elected to the Ewing Township School Board in April 2007. He presently resides with his wife Kimberly and three sons, James, Ryan and Ethan. His wife has been a second grade teacher at Lore Elementary School for five years. Mr. Mack is employed with the State of New Jersey Department of Children and Families and holds the position of Educational Development Program Specialist. Mr. Mack attended Washington and Jefferson College and has a Master's of Human Service Degree from Lincoln University. Mr. Mack also works with Families and Youth Incorporated a non-profit organization that provides programs for at-risk youth and their families.
