About the Foundation

The Ewing Public Education Foundation (EPEF) continues its tradition of providing grants to Ewing Public Schools for innovative educational programs. EPEF, established in 1994, is an independent, not-for-profit citizens’ organization whose mission is to mobilize community support, concern, commitment and resources to help improve the quality of education in Ewing Township. EPEF provides grants to The Ewing Public Schools for innovative educational programs through fund-raising, and corporate and institutional sponsorship.  The grants recognize the need for innovative educational opportunities in a variety of areas and the creativity of our educators in meeting these needs.

EPEF, a founding member of the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership, also seeks to match corporate and organizational donors to fund additional projects of mutual interest.  The Foundation is a member of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce as it expands its outreach to the business community and includes the following organizations as corporate partners: Educational Testing Service, Credit Union of New Jersey, New Jersey Manufacturers, American Properties, Merrill Lynch, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, PNC Bank, Hopewell Valley Bank and many other local organizations.

EPEF’s continued success depends upon broad-based corporate and community support.  Such support will allow EPEF to broaden its support of innovative educational enhancements that further develop effective and creative critical thinking, and enable our children to become dedicated citizens and inspired leaders in our community.  Support from parents, educators, alumni, and friends is crucial to the ongoing success of EPEF’s endeavors.

Letter from the President

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As the Ewing Public Education Foundation continues its legacy of service in support of innovation and excellence in education, your support remains critical to our success.  Despite a prolonged economic recession, we have increased our outreach to the corporate community and are engaged in multi-pronged fund-raising strategies.  These initiatives include expanded individual, corporate and small-business appeals, targeted donor outreach, active participation in the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership, and membership in the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce.  In May 2009, we were privileged to honor our retiring school superintendent by dedicating the first annual Raymond Broach Arts in Education Award.

Initiatives for 2010 include continued development of corporate and strategic partnerships, identification of alternative funding sources and the revamping of our website. To find out how you can make a tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation, visit our website at:

Sincerely,
Wayne M. Staub, President
